Apple Pie Oatmeal

This can be a quick as chopping up some apples or you can peel them first – totally up to your preference! And you can use any kind of apple you have on hand.

Ingredients
  • 2 apples, chopped
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) spray
Directions
  1. Spray bottom and about halfway up the sides of the Instant Pot’s inner pot w/ EVOO spray.
  2. Add all ingredients: 2 chopped apples, 2 cups water, 1 cup steel cut oats, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 2 Tbsp honey, 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground allspice, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg – then stir until well-combined.
  3. Seal lid then choose HIGH PRESSURE (or MANUAL) for 10 mins.
  4. When the cooking cycle ends, allow a natural release for 10 mins then do a quick release and open.
